The Defigo Connect Panel is the ideal choice for most buildings. Designed with both safety and convenience in mind, your tenants, building manager and visitors will all appreciate its ease of use and functionality.

The Defigo Connect Panel is usually installed on the entrance to the building by the main door. The Connect Panel can be installed on the wall, on glass or on a pedestal, so you can maintain the aesthetic of your building, and ensure that the Connect Panel is in the optimal spot for your tenants and visitors to use.

The Defigo Connect Panel features a highly responsive touchscreen, a microphone, a camera (1080p), speakers, and an in-built RFID reader.  Its sleek design elevates all buildings, whether it is a new build, or a building from the 1930s.

How does it work?

Visitor management

The Defigo Connect Panel is designed for easy visitor management. A visitor to the building can easily find the tenant that they are looking for on the Connect Panel screen by scrolling through or searching.

The visitor can then tap on the tenant that they want to reach and call them.
The tenant will receive a call on their Defigo app which they can choose to accept or decline. By accepting the call, the tenant will see a live video stream of the visitor at the building entrance. They can talk to the visitor and either end the call or press to open the door for them into the building.

It’s worth noting that the video stream is one way, so the tenant can see the visitor, but the visitor cannot see the tenant, this provides an extra layer of security for the tenant. The communication is, however, two way, so both parties are able to speak to and hear each other.

Tenant Access

The tenants inside the property will usually only use the Connect Panel if they choose not to use their cell phone for access to the building. When a tenant chooses to use an AccessKey, they can use the Connect Panel to access the building.

At the bottom of the Connect Panel is an in-built RFID reader which tenants can tap using their AccessKey, and open the door.

AccessKeys can be set up in the Defigo app, or in Webadmin by the building manager. A pincode can also be added for an extra layer of security.

Tenants can choose to personalize their call button which is displayed on the Connect Panel. Tenants can add a picture or a logo, change their name, and depending on the role the tenant has been assigned in a unit, they can also decide who in the unit receives the call and in what order they will be called.

In the Defigo app, tenants can choose to hide their call button when they don’t want to be reached. They can also choose to schedule when their call button will be hidden.

Building Manager

The Building Manager is responsible for keeping the Connect Panel updated with the current tenants in the building. They manage this via Webadmin. If a tenant moves in or out of the building, the Building Manager can add or remove the tenant’s access in a matter of seconds.

In Webadmin, the Building Manager can add AccessKeys for the tenants to use on the Defigo Connect Panel, as well as add a pincode.

Building Managers can choose to schedule automatic opening for a door. This can be linked to a tenant in the building. This means that if a visitor calls that specific tenant, the door will automatically open for them during certain scheduled hours. This can be used for an office with client appointments throughout the day, for instance.
